Description

In this course one will gain basic knowledge about fire fighting, basic personal survival, first aid, VHF communications and general good practices.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, the participants will:
• Have more confidence in dealing with small fires on a boat and understand the need of diligence in fire prevention.
• Gain knowledge on the preparation and the actions required for personal survival to be successful.
• Recognize the importance of implementing safety measures on board for the well-being of everyone on the vessel, the boat itself, and the environment.
• Have more confidence in giving basic first aid.
• Understand the limits and operations of basic VHF communication.
